Effects of a 12-week Equipment-based Pilates Training on Physical Fitness, Cardiovascular Function, and Vascular Endothelial Function in Middle-aged Obese Women

PURPOSE This study aims to investigate the effects of a 12-week equipment-based Pilates training on physical fitness, cardiovascular function, and vascular endothelial function in obese middle-aged women. METHODS Twenty-four women, aged 30-40 years with body mass index ≥ 25 percent fat 30% were randomly assigned one two groups: group (TR; n=12); control (CON; n=12). The TR participants underwent three 50-minute equipmentbased sessions per week for 12 weeks. Participants CON maintained their normal life patterns same intervention period. Variables regarding measured compared pre-test post-test u two-way ANOVA repeated measures. RESULTS main results as follows: 1) Regarding physique composition, participants’ weight, index, mass, fat, waist circumference, hip waist-to-hip ratio decreased significantly TR. 2) muscle strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, cardiorespiratory endurance increased 3) response, SV 4) blood vessel diameter at rest during vasodilation well flow volume CON, resulting significant interaction between test FMD percentage. CONCLUSIONS It was concluded that program improved fitness
